  • माना समान दूरी =d
    अत: कुल दूरी=2d
    चाल 180 के कारण समय =d/180
    इसी प्रकार चाल 36 के कारण समय =d/36
    अत: कुल समय =(d/180 + d/36)
    औसत चाल= कुल दूरी/कुल समय
    =2d/[(d/180 + d/36)]
    =2d/[(d x 36 + d x 180)/180 36]
    =2d/[d(180 + 36)/180 36]
    =2x 180 x 36/(180 + 36) =60
    तय की गई दूरी=औसत चालxसमय
    =60 x 13=780 किलोमीटर

    अत: कुल दूरी=2d
    चाल X के कारण समय =d/X
    इसी प्रकार चाल Y के कारण समय =d/Y
    अत: कुल समय =(d/X+d/Y)
    औसत चाल= कुल दूरी/कुल समय
