• Q. :- A cylender whose hight H is 3 unit and radius r is 8 unit then find the total surface area of cylender. Share to Whatsapp

  • Let the hollow cylender be cut vertically along it's height so that the closed cylender opens up in a rectangular shape one side of this rectangle is height of the cylender is equal to H and the other side is the length of the curcumfrance of the circular top and bottom surface is equal to 2(22/7)r.

  • The area of the total surface of cylender is equal to area of this rectangle + top and bottom circular surface area.
So area of top and bottom surface area = 2 x area of circle.
Total surface area of cylender = H[2(22/7)r]+2(22/7)r2
    = (3 x 50.285714285714) + 402.28571428571 = 150.85714285714 + 402.28571428571
    = 553.14285714286 unit area.
