Coordinate Geometry

Coordinate Geometry

A coordinate geometry is a branch of geometry where the position of the points on the plane is defined with the help of an ordered pair of numbers also known as coordinates.

Coordinate Geometry

  • Coordinate geometry is the study of geometric figures by plotting them in the coordinate axes.
  • Figures such as straight lines, curves, circles, ellipse, hyperbola, polygons, can be easily drawn and presented to scale in the coordinate axes.
